Dr. Alan Grindal
Dr. Alan Grindal is a board certified Neurologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. He received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and his Medical degree from the University of Illinois. His Neurology training was obtained at the Medical College of Virginia where he also served on the medical faculty.
Dr. Grindal was in private practice in Sarasota for over forty years and is currently on the Clinical Faculty of Florida State University. He is a neurological consultant to the Memory Disorder Clinic at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and is also a volunteer in the Community Clinic at the hospital.
He teaches classes at the Lifelong Learning Academy at the Ringling College where he served on the board for 8 years.
Dr. Grindal has also taught at ACE and Glenridge Academy. He was selected by his peers as one of the Best Doctors in America from 1997 to his retirement from active practice in 2004.
